The Project Management Agency Karlsruhe (PTKA) is partner and co-designer in the funding of scientific research and technical development. Our main task as a service provider consists in supporting our contractors in the program-bound project funding and dissemination of research results.

Production and Manufacturing Technologies (PTKA-PFT)
On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), close-to-industry programs and funding measures are managed. Presently, the focus is lying on the framework concept "Research for Tomorrow’s Production" (www.produktionsforschung.de), a program that covers a variety of actual research topics and is capable of learning.

Water Technology and Waste Management (PTKA-WTE)
On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), R&D projects under the program of the federal government "Research for the Environment" and under the program "Research for Sustainability" (www.fona.de) have been supported since 1998 and 2004, respectively.
On behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labor (BMWA), R&D projects are being funded within the concept “Future Main R&D Activities Related to the Repository Storage of Radioactive Waste”.

Baden-Württemberg Research Programs (PTKA-BWP)
The Baden-Württemberg Research Programs Division (BWP) is developing and implementing funding programs related to environmental issues, such as climate and resources protection or state-specific environmental technology.

In the three divisions of the Project Management Agency Karlsruhe, funding programs are prepared, implemented, and supported on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technologies (BMWi), the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Environment (UVM), and the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung (Baden-Württemberg State Foundation). The Project Management Agency acts as a contact point and advisor for applicants and supports and accompanies the beneficiaries in the execution of their research projects.
